"Linking Conservation NGOs with the Professionals"

Rare Breeds International is planning a one day workshop preceding the 59th EAAP annual meeting in 24-27 August in Vilnius-Lithuania

The conservation of farm animal genetic resources is achieved most effectively as a result of cooperation between dedicated NGOs and other organizations. The value of cooperation with governmental agencies has been demonstrated in some countries in recent years, but further opportunities arise through cooperation with academia, research institutes and business interests. The special expertise of conservation NGOs, and their grassroots network, can be applied to greatest effect within a wider collaborative structure. The opportunities will be explored in this seminar
